The Kuntu Village Educational Project
Restoring Afrikan-Centered Education
H.O.P has partnered with the Village in Kuntu in the District of Salt Pond, Ghana, West Afrika to help educate its children and empower its people for a productive future. Secretary General Kofi Annan is from this area, but it was the Help Ourselves Project that provided the village with school desks, several computers, file cabinets and school supplies. With your support we will bring computer training to its children and adults, as well as a job training center. To find out more on how you can help-donate, please visit our support page.

In addition to the efforts to help advance the technological capabilities for Kuntu Village's educational center, help Ourselves Project in Ghana is also working to create a conference center and travel lodge co-op resort in the village of Kuntu located in the Salt Pond District of Ghana's Central Region province. The goal of this project is to provide an affordable means for tourists and regional travelers through supplying cooperative assistance to the people of the village of Kuntu. Additional these project efforts will serve as a critical factor to facilitate job opportunities for the people of the village of Kuntu to sustain themselves and enhance their overall livelihoods.
This vision was made possible by the tireless work of the late Nana Del Jones, W.C who was bestowed the honorable title, Nana Kuntu, by Chief Nana Brebo and the elders of the village of Kuntu. Through the help of Bro. Philip Dadzie, a HOP member, a partnership was formed between the people of Kuntu and the Help Ourselves Project organization.
The HOP Kuntu Village Conference Center and the Guest House Project expects to enter into its ground-breaking phase on the conference center at year end 2012. Momentum is expected to gain steam in 2013 to complete the conference center and break ground for start-up villas and a restaurant or entertainment club.
Help Ourselves Project is seeking donations for the project which has promise for tourists, business people and the locals, particularly the people of Kuntu.
